Can a Q-flex tag be reinstalled?

Oddly enough, I had a 6month old lamb pull out her whole ear tag and not tear her ear.
Since the tag has her registered Number/scrapies id on it I was curious if it’s possible to remove the back piece with the stud somehow and replace the tag with a new back half.
Anyone done this?

Possibly. Probably gotta be pretty rough to shove it in, as lamb flailed a lot to get it out. But new ones are more bendy, so report back!

You can order a replacement imprinted one for $2.50 from Premier. If you are not original breeder it will not have Scrapies number. So keep that one in your files.

If not, order a plain tag and write the old number on it.
