So one strategy for some type of grains to be grown (which are then used for people and animals) is to sow the seed before winter rather than at the end of winter.

But I wondered if there's limits to which grains you can do this with? Could you do it with the main grains like oats, barley, wheat, soy, corn? Or is this only for wheat?
I guess this is sort of a side issue. But it affects being able to feed the animals and therefore fair game.
