Can alpacas eat sweet feed?

My neighbor called and asked me this morning, and I didn't have a clue, as I don't know what this is . . .thanks for any help!!!!

Depending on what the sweet feed is for. You have to be careful about copper content. It really would be better to feed them an alpaca feed. Some alpaca feeds are made to be more of a sweet feed type.

I agree as sweet feed will vary.... look at Purina content and maybe there is a cheaper feed with the same content.
