Can I plant enough buckwheat to provide selenium to my goats?

I've recently planted several bags of buckwheat and afterwards read it provides selenium for goats.

Any idea or thoughts out there about how much selenium it provides, at what stage should they eat it and can it be stored? I have plenty of space.

I don't know how much it provides but I know the place I get my organic feed from puts it in my goat feed and layer feed all year round so it must be "storable."

Then I don't think planting anything in your soil will help with selenium. We are also selenium deficient and have to supplement selenium to my alpacas and goats.
