Can sheep over eat on grass?

I have two Romney Suffolk lambs, almost four months old. They have been in a penned off section of the paddock while still on milk and small enough to get through the fences. Today I've added square wire fencing to the existing fence to ensure they are safely contained.
The pasture is a mixed bag of various weeds, grasses and clover.
I'm just wondering whether I should limit there time in the big paddock?
Can they eat themselves to deaths?

If it is new grass and they have been dry lotted then yes, they can bloat. Put out free choice baking soda, not baking powder, but baking soda. The soda acts like antacid does for us. Give them an hour on the grass, lengthening the time each day. It’s also good to feed them hay before letting out to graze.

Clover is particularly likely to cause bloat if it isn abundance. As Baymule says, limit their exposure to lush pasture

Thanks. I've been letting them out for a few hours each day. I've put steer in with them now to eat down some of the grass. Most of it is long and seedy so not new growth. I'm leaving them in the paddock now so hopefully they will not over eat.
