I'm looking at my new bucks pedigree, this is his mother:

DILL'S EX HALEY
N1458661 PTI -78 -110
02-00 77 AV+A
PTA -19M -3F -1P -.60T
DEV 0 0 0
PTA$ -4 -6 33R
PTA% 23R 08/17 -.10 -.04 11/16

What does all this mean? I've tried googling but I didn't find anything that explained it plainly.

This was on the ADGA genetics page:

Registered Name Milk Fat Fat% Prot Prot%
DILL'S EX HALEY -19 -2.500 -0.100 -1.300 -0.040
-PTA Combined- -19 -2.500 -0.100 -1.300 -0.040

So, what she a good milker, mediocre, bad?

I am still working at understanding all this but....
as a 2 year old the dam appraised as AV+A 77 right there IMO says that every buck out of this doe should be wethered. :hide
Unless the sire of the buck was really stellar. Of course appraisal really has nothing to do with milk...
There was a way to go in and read the explanation for all this- now I see you have to log in and go through the site...

The sire's mother's pedigree, sire's father is very similar. Grand-dam was apparently never tested.

I can login to ADGA, but no idea how to find anything that explains it "in English" - I read through some of it but came out more confused than I started.

While all these number and names can be an indicator of what to expect it can also mean absolutely nothing. I have a doe that missed the train when getting genes for her udder. She milks like a dream but her udder is UGLY. Her litter mate sister is a grand champion. Go Figure.

Agree! Millie is a trainwreck in the rear but she milks like a machine, has will to milk etc... BUT her bucks are all wethered. We always put great bucks over her and it shows in the offspring.

But this is a buck... not a doe
