I got a three month old Duroc two weeks ago. I have pig fever now and I found a wingling that Im getting this weekend. Can I keep the two in the same pin? I went out yesterday and found that one of my chickens got in the pig pin and the pig ATE it! Im kinda scared to put the little pig in there now.

If you do put them together, just make sure you are going to be there for a few hours to keep an eye on what's going on-----then you can step in if needed and separate them. I had a 5-week old male PBP in with a 7-month female PBP and a 6 month old female PBP and they wee fine together. Of course, this was a really big pen (100' x 100') an the little one could easily get away from them if he needed to.

Yes you can put them in together but as drdolittle says you have to observant. PLUS are you getting them from the same farm? If not then I recommend quarantining for 30 days. Whenever we bring fresh animals onto the farm we always quarantine. You do not want to introduce disease into your herd.

If you do put them together you need to ensure that the smaller one gets enough food as the older one will be food dominant & push the younger one away. Two bowls are a must. When you say "Weanling" what age are you talking about? To me that means 8 weeks as that is when we wean but I know others wean earlier. If this new piglet is REALLY young then do not put them together.

As for eating chickens - some breeds are worse than others for this trait & once it starts it is very hard to stop! We have had a couple hamps that were awful for this. They found themselves as sausage rather quickly!
