We have/had a cow that has cancer of her 3rd eye lid. I thought I would post pics so you can learn what it is.

What do you do about that, Kitty? I have the "Raising Beef Cattle" book (purple and white) that has photos of guys cutting that sort of thing out with a scalpel, but I've always wondered if that "cures" it or just makes it look nicer.

with cancer eye theres only 1 thing you can do an thats cull her.but you can have vet look at her.an he might can cut the cancer out.cows will die from cancer eye sooner or later.i just looked at the pics again.an she has a bad case of cancer eye.have your vet look at her.an he may can remove her eye.she will be ok with 1 eye.might be a lil hard to handle.

The reason I put have/had is because she was going to market today. She is short bred but, waiting for the calf was taking chances we didn't want to take.

It will be before long, I'm sure. It seems the barn is always running short!

Why?

with tie stalls most people try to keep their barns full.thats why i was asking.

See. Come winter we definately try to keep it full to keep it warm or the water will freeze but, right now it doesn't matter.

got ya i knew most people wanted as much milk in the tank as possable.
