That trainee is going to learn, life is sometimes hard and you have to put in the effort…….. or maybe not learn……

I hope they hire someone that can stick it out, learn the program and keep the job.
Most likely he was just waiting on a callback. My former trainee said that he kept talking about Olive Garden on breaks last week.
I was seriously miffed at first. We had several conversations Wed & Thurs about the schedule.. how excited he was to learn this... how he had worked for the company (different plant) years ago. The whole drive in Mon afternoon I was reviewing what I needed to focus on to get him through phase 1 as quickly as possible so he could start with hands-on.

His loss. Missing out on living the zombie life & spending hours & hours soaking in sweat-damp clothing.

Even Eva has gotten a garden started this year.
I went to 3 different nurseries the last weekend I was off & not a single veggi start to be found. Wait... there was 1 cantaloupe plant at one. I had never realized that there was an 'end' to the availability of being able to poke something in the garden & see if it makes it.

She's tending 4 pumpkin vines I think. Four seperate vines anyway... could be a gourd of some sort.

Zoom in & look at her face.... smug! Standing there judging me because her garden is looking so good & mine is an empty bed.

I've got family coming to visit several times between now & the end of Aug.
I'll be spending this long weekend doing a whole house 'reset'.
It will never cease to amaze and frustrate me how 1 person can accumulate SO MUCH clutter & just general mess. It would make sense that the kitchen & bath need regular cleaning... I USE those rooms every day. And the living room & bed room should need regular tidying up.. even though I'm in there, sleeping and/or watching TV just shouldn't create clutter.
But the den? The dining room? Even the guest bed room?
Who else is living here that I don't know about?!?!

I have two plants growing in different fields 😁. Thinking watermelon 🤷 most likely seed distribution by chickens. I used to find lovely sunflowers growing in odd places, too. Stopped buying so many 40# bags of seed when prices doubled.
