Crazy Chicken Keeper
Overrun with beasties
I know that chickens are not a herd animal, but since I no longer have access to BYC I will continue this thread on here.
I have 25 Orpingtons:
Roosters:
Garrel. Black orpington. 1 year old
Truck. Bue Orpington. 16 weeks old
Two Splash roos, 9 weeks old.
These are the confirmed roosters.
Hens:
4 Black Orpingntons (had 5 but one died recently while I was on holiday). 3 are 3 years old, one is 11 weeks.
8 Blue Orpingtons, five are 16 week, two are 11 weeks and the other is 21 months.
I also have 2 Black 11 week olds, I am pretty sure they are both boys but not completely certain. Also a 3 week old Blue I think is a female.
I recently had 7 chicks hatch. They were all supposed to be Orpington, but one was chickmunk striped. So that one doesn't count. One of my hens called Marshmallow is raising them, check out BYC for my artiicle on her!
I aspire to become a full time Orpington breeder, with a considerable amount of steers as well.
My cattle:
3 cows, two are 8 years old, the other is two.
3 calves, 1 steer and 2 heifers. They are the children of these.
I thought I had more, but nope! This is them all! They are all Angus and lovely animals, I bought them off my Dad. I am about to get more into steers though.
This thread will be my jounrey over the next couple of years to my goal!
