Going to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with boss man this morning, third place posting my wages for simpler jobs. I bought enough materials yesterday to build a service bed for my truck, was going to build it at the shop. Now I think I'm going to bring it home with some other tools. Want to complain about my $34 an hour when I can do schit like this, nope...

So basically a helper’s job and you are the gut with knowledge and experience, making a whopping FOUR DOLLARS above the shop helper. 🤬

I have a plan that involves going solo again. When they call me up 20 minutes before I am supposed to be there yesterday morning to put a rope on one of the drivers trailers for the door on the back asking where I am at and I know the driver is a whiny baby, I made a U turn and went to metal yard and ended up being an hour late on purpose. I'm taking a week off next week too.

This is a rough sketch of what is to be for a service bed.

@Weldman that will be a nice service bed. Diamond plate too! Fancy.

Coffee is ready. Woke up at 3:40. I have a friend that likes to send me Reels from Facebook. At all kinds of hours, does he ever sleep? I do until the phone dings, sometimes I don’t wake up, sometimes I do. Eh. This morning’s reel was about Alzheimer’s, the brain being 75% cholesterol, margarine being one molecule away from being plastic, vegetable oil being bad for you, animal fats being the natural substance good for you. I guess my brain will be ok, don’t use margarine or vegetable oil. But it wasn’t important at 3-something in the morning.

Maybe I'm ok, too -- brain anyway -- real butter & lard here. Thanks for not sharing so early as your friend.☺️

Working today. Last long one for a while 👍 looks like I may only work 2 short days next week. Planning to get seed in starter trays -- all necessary is here to do it. And do a dump run for stuff. There's that shed to rebuild from storm 2 wks ago, still waiting :thIt'll be a busy week but, farm work. Good.

Better get chores done and myself on the road. Took yesterday off and ran all chores, feed runs, etc. Having a "gentle" wakeup this morn😁

The diamond plate is for the floor of the bed. Now if you want to talk fancy, yeah I can go that route. On all cattle hauling outfits out here there is the outfits name on the front of their trailers that lights up at night called a porch light. I'm going to add that to the service bed.

Up late, 7 something. Made coffee, made list to do. Fed outside cats, wind was COLD. I decided to forego yard work for errands this morning. Harbor Freight had pond pumps at more than half off. I needed one, got a spare. Aldi's had ground beef (80/20) half price, picked up 3 plus one for a coworker. Stopped at Ace Hardware, looking for empty chain buckets (perfect nesting boxes!) but none were empty. Manager gave me his card, said to call in a week to check. :D =D

Rained last night, barrels overfull. I need to set up something better.

Heading outside to start on something...

There are some nice features on smart phones...

In my settings I have a do not disturb feature. I set it to start at 9:30pm and last until 9 am.

I can chose what is still heard when the do not disturb is on.

So, I still get texts and calls from close family, and all alarms.

It is VERY nice!

Obviously you are smarter than I am. My smart phone is smarter than I am. Ever wonder if they talk to each other?

Alaskan’s phone: my human has figured out all the cool things I can do and he makes me WORK all night, so he can sleep! What about ME??? I wanna sleep too!

Baymule’s phone: I’m so sorry you have it’s rough. I thought my human was a dummy, but now I’m kinda glad she’s not so smart. I hardly have to do anything! Ssh texts, takes pictures, lots of her lambs-they are so cute! And she gets on the internet and that’s about it. I feel sorry for you! I feel pretty lucky now with my dummy human!
