He's neat! Owned a few of those birds years ago, great birds!
30's already this morning. Going to try and breathe today, tomorrow I basically am working through my breaks/planning and might be doing 7-7. I'm getting pretty good about disassociating from work when I get home and completely forgetting what I am teaching until I get to school.

Frost this morning. Lots of barking last night. I’m guessing the full complement of varmits are perusing the sheep pen. Caddo and Sophie are itching for a walkabout. They had one last week and it took some real detective work to figure out where they got out. Chickens are coping well. Chicks appear to be one rooster and one hen. I’m guessing the older hen won’t start laying again til spring. Watching big ewe bellies. Lambing will be from early December to February. Worst time but the wenches didn’t check with me as usual. I could have separated the ram but all that’s ever gotten me is torn up fence and an angry ram. Time to let the Maremmas out. I need ninja moves to avoid Vala’s morning exuberance. Good Morning. Day 10.

I was so wired, tired, and upset last night (missing Ron) that I didn't get to sleep until after midnight. I came in to work an hour later than normal, still before 8am. They can fire me.

Got to freezing here, not a hard freeze but since it's windy that may have helped.

Checked the chickens, waterers not frozen, threw some BOSS at those who'd come down off their roosts, ha! Early chicken gets the seeds?

Speaking of chickens, looks like I've been adopted. My DB texted me these pictures yesterday afternoon.

And crowed. Great. Maybe he belongs to my backyard neighbor? Hope so. Turken or naked neck? BIG boy.

Saw some of them at the show. Had some good ones in the bantams... Yeah, hope he belongs to someone... don't think your sussex would understand...

21 overnight... NO SNOW.... let @Mini Horses have the frosting. It blew so much here last night that it didn't have a chance to settle ... had 10 flurries that I saw before dark.
At least I did get all the plants in... except the ones in the tubs... outside plants...

Wind has died down, sun is out, and I am headed to get some shopping done.

My dusting was gone by 9:30, save some in shadow. BUT that wind is bitter!!! Goats ate & laid down in sun on south sides of barns. Smart.

Breezy here, 68 now headed to 80. Forecast changed again -- added a day of rain <yay> Th, Fr, Sat and now Sun as well. Time will tell - I think the forecaster just wants attention (be it ap, person or ai).
We went wine tasting Sunday got to chatting with owner/winemaker -- and --- he will be getting one of our lambs! YAY -- then got a text from a neighbor - she wants one of our lambs YAY! So that makes three people getting our lambs and they are too young to harvest now. I'll still have to get up to the auction so I can say goodbye to the less than motherly ewe. Probably will have some lambs to go up, but if it keeps up like this who knows! Or thinking outside of the box - is it becoming more of a thing to get your meat locally??
Got a derm appointment later today followed by a stop by and snuggle DGS Kit, then home and out to dinner with DH -- busy day today.

38 here today. Hubs will be cutting and removing the trees we took down. I will finish waxing hive boxes. When that's done we can finish up the insulated tops and sugar block spacers. Then it's back to house cleaning, still not caught up....hmm, I wonder if that's because I don't cleaning up other people's messes and find every excuse to go outside and ignore it... I really need to get it done...I will be much happier...lol
Heading to town in the afternoon to go to our bee club meeting and probably go out to dinner.
Finished my tea... now, get to work!

[Mini Horses]

Back in from feeding...5:30 and DARK. I was just thinking about going out to feed at this time in summer Now in a couple of hours I'll be feeling like it's gotta be 10-11pm. It's so annoying. My internal time clock is not cooperating. To bed at 9 last night, awake at 1 got up for an hr, played solitaire to get sleepy. This upsets my body & routines. Wish they'd just stop switching times.

Another feel like 27-30 night. Last night was coldest in Nov since 2013. I don't need a cold record setter!!
