Evening all. As expected we didn't get to sign to close today. The underwriter decided she wanted more stuff to prove things she's had in her hands for weeks yet again. Struggling to find a notary to get the documents signed. Apparently all around here need to be re certified, don't answer/return calls or is no longer doing them. There's a possibility the mortgage broker found one for tomorrow but the time he scheduled was in the middle of the day which doesn't work for us. We've made it clear we can stay up for a time in the morning or get up earlier than normal in the afternoon but we can not be up all night, day then work all night again. Let alone with animals. Not going to happen. We are too old for that now. 😂 So we'll see what comes of tomorrow. We are still waiting on the paperwork to even be completed because they just continue to want more and more and more and more and more proof of things last minute. I told the mortgage guy today next they will want a stool sample, a blood sample and a brain sample and clearly we are lacking in the brain department as we are still doing all this nonsense. :barnie😂
No new news on the trailer front. Didn't get anything accomplished on it today. A whole bunch of truck parts came in today which is good but more are being delayed so that's all still on hold at the moment.
Talked to the CPA today on what we can and can't do for tax purposes for selling this place when the time comes. Or should I say IF the time ever comes. 🤦‍♀️That was a fairly helpful call. Slowly feeling like things are working in the right direction but time will tell. Hopefully progress will actually be made for closing tomorrow.
Otherwise haven't accomplished much today. Time to get back up and start chores.
Y'all have a great evening/night!

For grins and giggles -
Here's the listing for the house by me (it should help increase the home values here - ummmmmmm wait - with fire insurance what it is, not a good idea)..
Ugly, and cold. I don't like it.
I've learned never to call a place ugly or I may wind up stuck living there.

Nice pictures. And the inside looks unreal. The view of the house from the outside is...interesting, but the inside-I kind of like the style, but could someone really live like that? It's like a castle. You'd make it look bad by being there.

(It's waaaay above our class bracket, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there for fire risk.

Also above our ever want to be able to afford bracket. Wowza! That's a lot to both make and tie down.)

How could you hang pictures on stone walls?

New neighbors spent their first night in their new home last night. it was a disaster, but taken with good humor. Details on my journal.
My son's alarm keeps going off. Annoying. I wish he'd wake up enough to turn the darn thing off.

Snow all day today, yet the temperatures have went steady up since yesterday night. Around upper 30's today, the customer wants to go chase a dog house down 90 miles up the road instead of building one, so I will have the day off, he is also going to stack straw around his travel trailer to keep the floors warm. Hope they love to live with mice and possibly a pack rat :gig
I on the other hand will be out burying the root cellar at my house.

Similar weather here. Supposed to keep getting snow the next like 10 days. But it is warmer this morning, so I'll take that.
Got a day of work planned that I know will either be really fun, or make me question my life decisions exponentially, hoping for the first.
