Coffee is ready. I have to be outside at first glimmer of daylight to get chores done. Then load Buford up in the car and take him to Houston to be collected. I sure hope he gets with the program this time. Map app says 2 hours and 14 minutes. Yeah, sure....... I'm gonna allow an extra hour. Y'all wish me luck!

Have fun Bay!

Another day, another adventure. Watch said it was 19 out this morning. Really cool meteor shower happening, so made for some fun entertainment.
We have a potluck tomorrow so I think I'll make some chocolate chip cookies tonight.
Probably should go make breakfast and push myself out the door.

Keep us posted, @fuzzi

We care.
Thank you.

I am proud of her. She has always been tiny, was bullied in school so I enrolled her in martial arts. After a couple big boys got bloodied the physical bullying ceased. She's a whopping 4' 11" at 40 something, doesn't take 💩 when it concerns her family.

Took a friend to the surgery center early this morning, cataract removal. I had no ambition to do anything outside, think my body is telling me to not push things. Facial swelling is down, I am thankful!

DD texted, suggested FaceTime, great! Enjoyed chatting with the girls, they're growing up so quickly! Then my daughter let them watch old WB cartoons so we could talk. Uh oh.

She works as a teacher's aide/substitute/afterschool daycare in the private school where both their daughters are enrolled. One of the board members tried to bully my daughter into a different schedule, then had her hours cut to zero when my daughter said no. My daughter quit, and withdrew both children, so she's now homeschooling them. Her husband works for the TSA, and is still working but not getting paid due to the shutdown.

DD knows I will help as I can, but she probably won't ask unless they can't make their car payment or rent.

Once a mother, always a mother.
I loved homeschooling my 5 boys. I think it was the best thing for them.

I am highly opinionated... and homeschooling meant that they could be taught in the way that I knew was best and was best for them.

However... once my eldest reached high-school age, I enrolled them all in one of the Alaska homeschool programs, which meant I still got to homeschool the way I wanted to.. but got free computers, a printer, and money for stuff. It was incredibly useful.

It is easy to homeschool for very low cost, especially in the younger grades... but an income is needed for so many things! I wonder if there is some part time job that she can do with the kids....

My heart goes out to her. No income sucks.

Thank you! She's learning each day about how to homeschool, she'll be fine.

They've been planning to relocate from Chicago, might find a good school district wherever they land.
