I had a live oak at my previous place. Sheep vacuumed the acorns right up.

I cut back on corn and feed in general if I have a big acorn crop. They just put the excess protein into their hooves and I have to trim. Silly sheep.

Coffee is ready. Got to go get a super bag of feed this morning, then scoop it into 5 gallon buckets and dump in metal trash cans. I'm already tired.

Needing my caffeine... today should be an easy day. And I enjoy the library potluck thing. It is interesting watching town get empty. If I have time Sunday, I will run all around town and maybe into Yellowstone just to see how it feels.
Yup! Winter is coming. Yellowstone closes at the end of the week, and the locals just bundle up. My kids are telling me stories of how cold it might get. Lets just say it's cold enough that nobody has livestock here in the winter.As in degrees not hours????

We hit -50°F for records and still manage livestock out here, anything is possible. I'm sure bison would be perfect over there.

What do people do with their livestock?
I get to stay home today. Need to nurse a sick hen, clip a wing on my escape artist, before roaming dogs catch her outside of the pen and kill her.
It's also sourdough day. At least the hands on time for that isn't very much, but I do love feeling the gluten develop as I stretch and fold it. 
Fixed breakfast for hubs and sent him off to the office, aka golf course...lol At least there, I know he's not beating his body to death, like he does here at home.
Time for tea

At least up here... some of the restaurants have closing days, where the locals can come and eat cheap, to help clear out whatever is left in the freezers!
That's pretty cool. Nice that they do that, better than letting it go to waste.
