I have a nubian goat in the Canary Islands. I hear her coughing a lot. Several times a day. But she is fit and well. In her excellent book "Raising Goats for Dummies" Cheryl K. Smith says (P.162) that "A healthy goat has no cough, a moist nose and dry eyes" Mine has a dry nose, although soft and this cough or choke.
Anyone have any experience of this and any advice?

Sometimes they choke on there cud when they are spitting it back up. Does it sound more like a cough of a choke?

Is she in an area that has anything dust producing, i.e dirt that gets kicked up or dusty hay?
