The "guard" donkey I bought years ago tried to kill several of my goats. Literally picked a goat up by the neck and shook her around before tossing her across the field. Some others he chased around trying to smash them with his front feet. He wasn't around much longer... :(

i'm guessing the donkey is the culprit in this case. they don't want or allow strange things in their pasture. hope you can find a way to separate them before you have more lambs.

Donkeys aren't mean, they are just......donkeys. Understanding the nature of the animal goes a long way in facing reality instead of "humanizing" an animal, expecting it to respond in a manner that is foreign to it's behaviors.
