I am looking at getting a few sheep to show (likely 1 Southdown Ewe and 1 Dorper Ewe) and am needing feedback for deworming. I see some say to deworm monthly, some 6 weeks, some say to get a fecal every month and treat as needed. What is yall's experience with it?

A friend taught me to do my own fecals, so that is what I base worming on. I raise Katahdin sheep and a lot of them are resistant to worms. A lot are not, so one of the things I cull for is the tendency to be wormy. A lot of people use the FAMACHA system using eye membranes to check for bright pink color. It helps, but is not as good as fecal samples.
