Ok here is my problem. I have a very nice 4 horn painted desert "type" of ram. The previous owner bought him from the breeder but didn't know a lot about him. She told me that the 4 sheep that I got from her (all from this same breeder) were a mix of had painted desert, Churro, jacob, barbados, and katahin. She did not know specifics of each sheep....all 4 have horns though only the ram is painted. I'd really like to get him registered as a Painted desert as to have an additional markets to sell the lambs. ( I originally got them to raise meat lambs for ourselves, but am really loving them and hope to get more) And the registeries will disqualify for any "recent" polled breeding"... but I really don't know the ram's breeding....only what the previous owner thought. So I thought if I could do a dna test that maybe I could get him registered....

Thanks for any replies.
