*Accidentally submitted before I was done.
One of my does had her first litter. They are about 8 days old, and up until this point was doing good. This morning when I went to check on them, I found one trampled at the bottom of the nestbox with blood dried on its fur. When I checked the others over, I noticed one of the babies had some scratches too.
I separated the scratched up kit, until I can figure out what to do. How do I treat this? Do I need to take all the babies away? I will admit I’m in a little over my head. This is my first litter too, so of course I’m fretting over them like a mother hen. I thought I was prepared for this, but I don’t feel like it now!
