Came home from work today, and my 5 month old Nigerian dwarf doeling Katy's face and jowls were swolen.
My first thought was she had been bitten or stung by something. I was reading another post where someone's buck's lips were swolen and someone suggested perhaps he had been stung, suggested giving him benadryl.

I just wanted to double check that this would be OK, and since she is only 5 months old and I guess 35 lbs, what dosage I should give. The other poster said a Mg per pound, 35mgs?
I do believe I have some childrens benadryl here somewhere for my 5 year old.

I don't have a bottle in front of me...so I'm not sure on that. You take the adult dose, which is based on a 150 lb person. Divide the dose by 150, then you have the per lb dose. Weigh the goat, and there you go.
I was given this advice by Kate when I asked about Benadryl dosage.

Yes you can give her Benedryl...Use the Childrens Benedryl, and dose per lb like it says on the bottle.
