I need to administer a tetanus Antitoxin to my week old lambs as I need to band them.

The bottle says: "Tetanus antitoxin confers immediate passive immunity lasting about 7 to 14 days. 1500 units administered subcutaneously or intramuscularly is the recommended dose for prevention" http://www.colorado-serum.com/bio/tetanti.html

I have used it before but I have found nothing online for how much the lamb dose should be. Any input is greatly appreciated!

If your ewe got her CD&T shot a month or so prior to lambing, you don't need to give the antitoxin.

I've never given it when I dock/castrate.

That's why they need it, I didnt know her due date so I just decided to wait until after lambing.

We just put the bands on, the lambs are in some obvious discomfort. but there is no screaming. Mostly swishing tails around and laying down and getting up.
