Finally got all of our tomatoes in yesterday.
I have 2 new varieties for my cherry tomatoes. I think I bought the Napa grape from a nursery, several years ago. Reminded me of the Cherub tomatoes. I hope it's the same one.
2 Napa grape (hybrid)
2 Black Cherry (heirloom)
For my regular tomatoes.
Heirloom:
3 Black Krim
3 Pineapple
3 Cherokee Purple
Hybrid:
3 Bushsteak
2 Early girl
We usually don't plant until Mother's Day. So far the ones we planted 2 weeks ago look great. We put the cages over those and added some plastic wrap. We moved the domes onto the ones we just planted, they haven't been hardened off yet, so they need more protection.
Still need to put domes on these in this picture. The one on the right already has a bloom.
Hubs put the domes on last night.

Well we just can't help ourselves. Hubs has been wanting a Flowering Pear tree for years. We finally found one... now where to put it. You know, we really aren't happy with that Vanderwolf pine we put in the yard, it's really not a specimen tree. So, what to do... yep, pull out the chainsaw and take it down.
I really wish we would have placed this in the tree line.
First we dug around the roots and washed them off, so they could be cut.
I had to go work on something else. While I was gone, hubs cut the roots and decided to see what would happen if he pulled on the branches. It came right down... what a man!
Sawn and ready for removal.
The Chanticleer pear. White blooms in the spring and beautiful foliage in the fall.
I'll get another picture once it's in place!

These girls are slacking... they just want sunflower seeds!
