I didn't think to share this info.There is another reason I won't mind seeing it go. It has hard, round, very sharp and pokey seed balls that it drops. Not much fun to step on.

We have those, grr. The gumballs roll underfoot when you step on them , and when I mow over them they tend to shoot out from under the deck instead of going in the bag . When we had a riding mower they'd knock off the drive belts.

Poison ivy is pretty, too, nice shiny leaves...

Here’s a joke for you. In the fall, leaves have fallen from the sweet gum trees, but those balls hang tight.
Choose your victim. With a straight face, wisely say there are male trees and female trees. You learned how to tell them apart. In fact, that sweet gum tree is a male tree. Pause. Your victim might ask how do you know. If they don’t, ask if they know the difference.
Point upwards and say, JUST LOOK AT ALL THOSE BALLS!

Well heading out to fill the chicken feeders. Hubs said my girl is out running around, so I need to deal with the grape vines. Yesterday, she heard my voice and came running across the yard to me, popped a squat and let me pick her up... silly goose!

The girls are really starting to lay some very nice eggs.
I'm not sure who is laying the large blue/green eggs, but she's been very consistent.
