Both of my boer does kidded today. At one o-clock, my first doe had a kid, followed directly by another coming out headfirst with legsback. We tried to get the little guy out for about 10 minutes and finally got him out, but the doe has her head down and I am really concerned about her as she is no longer taking care of her kids(they are nursing off the other doe that just had twins an hour ago)
I have no idea what is going on with the first doe, she almost acts like she is in pain.

Is it possible she had triplets in there and one did not come out? can I reach inside her? I do not know how to "bounce" I called my vet and am waiting for a return call(he is in a emergency at the moment)

ok, what will that tell me? what am I looging for? If her cervix has closed, will I be able to get in? do I want her cervix to be closed?

First, straddle her facing her rear, hug her belly just in front of the udder and "bounce" hard...you'll feel a lump in there if there's a retained kid.

I would be concerned there was a uterine tear...or a retained kid...if she were here she'd get .5 to 1 cc oxytocin, B complex, iron and antibiotics, along w a uterine flush.

If you need to lube up and go in, proceed with caution to prevent damage to the cervix. If it's closed, you'll feel a volcano as if you're going from the sky downward...if its still open at all you'll be able to feel a ring and then pass that ring into the uterus.
