I am so enjoying the photos of all the new kids.. there is nothing I love more than newborn goat kids (all kinds!) and unfortunately due to market this is first year I was not able to breed/have kids because I still have all my kids left from last couple years! It makes me sad to not have my own bundles of joy and cuddling with tiny babies.. and loving on those little babies.. will miss the smell of newborn goat! I love it.. so thanks for the photos.. I sadly lost two of my herd due to unexpected health issues and maybe someday herd will be down reasonable size to have kids bouncing around the barn again!

You said you still had your kids from the last couple of years...

Do you have a website?

:hugs I worry about this happening too. I way under priced a few babies this year just to make room. Hopefully the market will pick up soon. :fl

The market for pet goats here is booming, but sadly not the market for show and dairy lines. We have a small herd of 4 goats and even had a hard time marketing.

So sorry to hear about the overflow.

In this area homestead milk goats are selling well right now if the price is right. Expensive purebreds not so well. As for meat, there also is a guy locally that can't seem to buy enough wethers or bucks for his ethnic market, they prefer the dairy type surprisingly.
