Sorry in advance for the novel, just wanted to get all information out there.

I have a Pygmy/Dwarf X Doe, almost 3 years old, never bred, never been in contact with any bucks ever (I am 100% certain), that has an enlarged teat.

She became precocious late last year which turned into mastitis, treated with two rounds of penicillin and cleared her up. Been trying to dry her up with no avail.

So my question is, has anyone seen an engorged teat where it looks like no udder is present on one side? It is as if the milk just drops straight down into the teat bypassing udder.

She milks out well, and has been doing so every day for the past month since this happened. (It fills up within hours of milking), I don't want to take any chances of letting it sit if it is an infection, I know milk samples can come back as false neg, I am sending off another one soon.

Background: She has been to vet, CMT neg, milk samples were clear of infection, shes always been a bit dancey on the stand but no signs of being in obvious pain or discomfort when milking, temperature is normal, eating/drinking normal. Not feeding grain at all, just pellets on the milk stand / coastal hay and pasture , giving minerals, but no additional supplements that promotes milk production (trust me, I have been researching) could it be a possible injury? I have never seen anything like this.

I can take pictures tomorrow to provide a visual for anyone curious, it is evening where I am. Thanks in advance for any input, this is a mystery to me and my vet is doing additional research at the moment since she is not specialized in goats, but is familiar.

Thank you so much for responding! I am relieved to get the input I am recieving.

I've posted these pictures elsewhere and I am getting very similar responses.

It just looks alarming, it seems.
