Hey guys, we have a ewe lamb that's about 7 months old who has suddenly developed runny eyes and loud breathing. She has actually been in a dry lot for a few weeks with a couple other ewes while we treated them for worms and anemia. They are being weaned back onto grass now. Her eyes are not swollen or red, just watery and warm to the touch. No nasal discharge, little bit of bottle jaw, but breath sounds like snorting. She is eating and drinking, and gets up to visit us whenever we call her. She can't be super active in the small pen, but I wouldn't say she's lethargic either. We have some VetRx we can give her if this is a simple respiratory issue, but we're not sure yet. Any ideas on the cause of the new symptoms?

WILL POST VIDEO AND PICTURE NEXT.

What are you treating the worms with? Bottle jaw usually indicates a heavy infestation. Could she possibly have lung worms too? If so, more than likely what you are treating them with will knock out lungworms if she has them.

Are there blooming grasses in pasture that might be irritating her eyes?

Sorry things are crazy around here. Been dealing with coccidia in the turkeys, found another lamb with bottle jaw last night, and it's just been crazy. It's one of those seasons where all the animals throw a new challenge at us so we have to figure everything out again. :barnie
Alright she's been dewormed with both prohibit and valbazen. We're familiar with bottle jaw and we believe her worm treatment is on track. We'll be checking famacha and doing fecal testing to confirm this. The runny eyes and snorty breathing seem unrelated. I think there's a bit of white clover out there blooming but not much. The grass has been kept short and is not blooming. She's doing the same right now, no changes.

Pictures! You can see how watery her right eye is. This side of her face stays wet like this. She just had some grain which is why her face and nose are messy.

It’s been my experience that stressed lambs can show signs of pneumonia. You may want to treat for that.
