Hi, I’m Emily from central NC. I have 2.5 acres where my family and I raise dairy goats, pigs, honey bees, rabbits, poultry and waterfowl, plus lots of gardens, fruit trees & berry bushes.

I have been lurking on here since kidding season this Spring. I have started getting serious about milking my goats (finally after 3 years!) and I am totally obsessed. We have 4 Nigerian Dwarf, 1 Mini LaMancha, and 1 Oberhasli. I’ve learned so much from you all already and am excited to start interacting. Thanks so much!

:welcome:welcome also. I am in Va and am not a goat person.... But I won't hold it against you!!:lol: Seriously, great to have you, there are lots of goat people to give you help and advice. And all the other homesteader things you have is great too.

Welcome! It’s so great to read your enthusiasm - I have to agree, goats are fabulous! I haven’t tried milking yet, but I had a very happy first kidding season this year (thanks to BYH guidance and support!). Many people will be able to offer you advice though.
