Wed afternoon... It was 30 overnight, got up to 38 but has been cloudy and foggy out... Snow is melting some, not near as hard underfoot.
We got a covering skiff of snow last night, and some flurries/sprinkles today...

Not as good a day today as yesterday... feeling a little tired out this morning when I got up... might just be my body trying to get used to a "new normal" change...

Went to the farm to take the meters to the farmer that HAD TO test... set up a couple for him, left extra hoses and one extra meter... forgot to take the sample bottles... So I came home, got the truck and went to snyder's to the cow and the calves. I had locked the 2 calves away from her... and they were more than ready to go on her... she was not quite as co-operative this morning... I had to do the AHNNNT thing and smack her a couple times on the hip... but her jersey steer was very determined... and the black one from M was even more determined... so they both got her nursed out pretty good. I think she will come around without too much problem... couple days of "enforced" feeding... Luckily the new/young calf is very determined... and she was stealing off the red cow so not afraid to go after a teat.

Then I went and dropped off the bottles at the farm, while I was out.

The windshield wipers on the green car were a little split at the top.... so I went down to the co-op and got them to put a new pair on the car...have put new ones on the red forester and the explorer this past year too... Tomorrow I will have to go and get the meters and the samples, as well as enter the info into his computer... the best thing is that he will not test for another 6 weeks... so I can be done with him...
I am going to text a few farms to see about getting a few set up starting next week... the couple I cancelled when I got so sick with the allergic responses... will get the first choice...
Not going to push it too hard for a few times testing...But at least I can breathe and not coughing near so much....

Checked the bird feeders and they still were about 1/2 full.... So they will wait to get refilled a few more days...

Thinking spaghetti for supper...... I usually would eat the creamy sauces... so have to go to tomato based sauces.. no meat.....can't even do pizza, which I seldom eat because of the cheese....... I love calzones but no cheese, so not very appetizing... tired of the imitation crab meat as a scoop for lunches......tuna fish too.... sweet potato fries and some mushroom sauteed side dishes...... green beans...... guess I can make some baked beans in the pot... Got to clean out the fridge of the milk products for now... I just had bought cheese at Sharp Shopper.. got a bunch of yogurt... I buy yogurt at Sharp Shopper 12 or 24 of the individual serving size, at a time. as they would have them getting out of date... and believe me, yogurt will be good if sealed for 6 months or more "out of date".... so I have a bunch that I bought a month ago before I knew .... plus I buy the qt containers... like .79 a qt and the smaller cups at 3/1.00 to 6/1.00....... yogurt to me was like a "comfort food".... when my stomach was so-so, I'd eat yogurt... never realizing it was contributing to the problem... DS hates yogurt so the chickens and cats will get the opened ones... some of the cheese I will freeze...
I need to get eggs since they seem to be okay... my langshan hen is doing her best laying an egg, 2 days out of 3 sometimes, but usually every other day... I don't know how old she is so I am thrilled she is laying that many in these cold miserable winter temps... can't even do a mushroom swiss omelet.... :barnie:he:somad:somad and I want to find some sherbet and juice popsicles since I can't do ice cream... and yes, I do eat ice cream in the winter...
Chocolate has milk products... don't dare make brownies....

Got some vegetables in the freezer... and going to get more chicken out I guess...
I love some of the mild fish... usually broiled... BUT... I always brushed with butter... :hit:hit not alot, but still... milk products....
Nope, @Mini Horses ... no bacon grease or anything pork even....

I can do chinese... seafood kind of dishes...

Oh well, spaghetti it is tonight...

Look into vegan cheese. I've heard some are pretty decent. Might give some cheesiness to an omlet:rolleyes:

I've had rice milk & soy milk...both tasted ok for use on cereal but straight up, not "milk" but taste was close & ok. Again -- didn't read labels for issues as I had none & was just sampling them. In fact, that's WHY I had them, my food demo days. There is a non dairy yogurt, soy I think.

Mushrooms. If you like those they are very "meaty" tasting sauted. Use olive oil vice butter and a dash of soy sauce....garlic...etc. garlic & mushrooms are good in spaghetti sauce! So is sauted eggplant

Cocoa powder??? No milk there. Brownies can be made without milk. Are you ok with flours? Nuts?
You can see, I'm thinking about feeding you. 😁🥰

I can't eat ice cream, nor sherbet, but there's an oat milk product that is truly non dairy, Oatley I think it's called. It tastes very much like ice cream, and I can eat some without upsetting my GI tract.

Can you do soy sauce on the spaghetti?

They told me to stay away from anything soy based, it affects the way the body processes these sprays and the electromagnetic field... if I drink any soda to "change it up",; tired of water and juice....... to NOT drink stuff with artificial sweeteners... go for a craft soda that is made with pure cane sugar....

No wheat /flour problems so far... I can eat some nuts, peanut butter has been fine, I eat walnuts for snacks sometimes anyway... don't care for many other nuts....
The amount of chemicals used to "make " the "fake milks"....... I do not use them. I don't use milk on the hot cereals, so that's okay.... oatmeal or cream of wheat made with water... I use maple syrup or sometimes honey on them... more like a porridge...
I ate cheerios by the "cupful" as a kid... can do that again if I need a snack... but got to check the labels now....

I can manage for awhile... milk makes me go into coughing and running nose type symptoms... the meats make me really react....
Yeah, mushrooms sauteed... I can live without the butter if I have to.... same with onions.... I like avocado oil or coconut oil for "frying" type stuff... I love sauteed mushrooms.....or raw on salads....
I'll get it figured out.... just take some adjusting since my whole eating lifestyle/habits were based around straight meat protein, and milk based products... because they were both available because I raised them.... so not much "direct out of pocket" costs.... summers were garden based with homegrown meat...

I can start making ice tea again... not sun tea, but I will just heat the water and make it... I normally did not drink alot of tea in the winter since I didn't make much sun tea...

Not real hungry, and have had a bit of a headache all day....

Going to empty the shredder and get to work on that a little bit I think... maybe I can go to sleep earlier .... Need to wash my hair... either tonight or tomorrow...
Next week is looking good for some serious laundry...

When the garden comes in you might not miss red meat as much. Veggies sauteed in olive oil are good too. If you can eat chicken and fish, can you eat rabbit? It might be worthwhile to get a couple cages and raise some rabbits for your freezer. They are easy to raise and easy to dress out. Just as good as chicken with no plucking.

Sure hope they can get y or allergies under control. I think they got so bad because the first doctor did not diagnose properly - or rather did not give you the results.

DD2 had a lot of painful stomach trouble so after countless visits to the doctor where they found nothing, I kept encouraging her to eat yogurt and milk products. (I lived on potatoes and goat milk when I had spastic colon and ucers for several years.) Her stomach pains got worse until one doctor at Children's Hospital looked at her old test results in the office when I was telling her how I put her on a milky diet and said "Oh I see here that she is lactose intolerant". No one had given me that diagnosis! :somad

Most ironic is -- ya raise beef & milk cows :old :duc

Rabbit??? Mammary, so prob not one to try.

Get those chickens & turkeys going! Fish, shrimp, etc. Eggs. Hi pro veggies. Damn shame to have to analyze every bite :he. Like you have nothing else to do!
Not in the same level as what @farmerjan is facing, but I have to analyze all my food, for corn. Everything processed seems to have corn in it, and I have allergic reactions.

It's one reason I started raising chickens, as store bought eggs make me sick, but not my own chickens' eggs. I thought it might be antibiotics, but now I think it's the feed.

No rabbit... red meat...mammalian..... been suggested by a friend that EMU would be okay... makes it into a bacon like thing... but terribly expensive... I'll do without that for now...

Yes, my go to was yogurt as a "desert" type thing, rather than "sweets" and it was making it worse... Them not telling me that I had the alpha-gal in Oct... I kept making it worse and worse... by eating things that I would normally always eat from my freezer... to the point of where I thought I was being smothered or drowning... I mean, it was really really bad... no laying down as I would get to coughing, not be able to get my breath,,, SCARED me really bad...
If that is what people that drown feel like , shoot me first,,, I NEVER EVER want to drown or smother....

AMAZING that within 3-4 days of NO MEAT, NO MILK, the constantly running nose slowed way down and I could actually lay down to try to sleep... the coughing slowed way down... I stopped all the triggers, cold turkey, after researching it that Tues right after the dr office appt.... took a couple days to "cycle out" of my system somewhat...

So, we'll see... and if these treatments with the sprays that are to "reset" my allergic reactions, with resetting the electromagnetic fields around the different frequencies that your cells function under... If they work, it should put these severe allergic reactions into remission... so my body does not fight its' self basically... and then I can start to reintroduce things into my diet...
I am not liking the restrictions... THAT SAID...... I am so thankful to have been able to find some answers and been able to eliminate the things most responsible for the severe reactions.... to be able to start to feel "human" again... so I am not going to complain...

Trying to find a decent DO but there just aren't any in "general practice" around here...

I will not even consider that "home test" for the colon screening... got it in the mail...

Also had stopped the antibiotics that the NP had me on for the "bronchial pneumonia".... this dr at the alpha-gal/chiropractic/acupuncture place, said that antibiotics were just continuing to upset my gut tract... which I do understand that the antibiotics do.... and probiotics are usually smart after any antibiotic treatment.... since I did not have any reason for the antibiotics because the diagnosis was again wrong.... so I stopped them...
I am not against antibiotics in the right scenario... but to still act like my feelings that this was all linked to the bulls eye rash/tick bite.... were not relevant... just sends me off the wall.....

So, enough..... trying different things from here... mostly NOT trying the things I normally would automatically eat as a go to....

Gotta go to DS house and let the dog out,,,, he is at a workman's comp evaluation all day today.... went earlier, he needs a break again... then I will go take the samples from the farm to UPS....

Went to snyder's, the black calf was on the jersey cow when I got there... was determined to stick with her... Grained her and she was just fine with the calf... Her jersey steer was messing around out with the black steer that has the bad leg.... so they are GOOD.....
I am calling her Maggie.... seems to fit her better than peaches...
I got lucky with her.... thought about Lucky.... but I like Maggie....
