No rabbit... red meat...mammalian..... been suggested by a friend that EMU would be okay... makes it into a bacon like thing... but terribly expensive... I'll do without that for now...

Yes, my go to was yogurt as a "desert" type thing, rather than "sweets" and it was making it worse... Them not telling me that I had the alpha-gal in Oct... I kept making it worse and worse... by eating things that I would normally always eat from my freezer... to the point of where I thought I was being smothered or drowning... I mean, it was really really bad... no laying down as I would get to coughing, not be able to get my breath,,, SCARED me really bad...
If that is what people that drown feel like , shoot me first,,, I NEVER EVER want to drown or smother....

AMAZING that within 3-4 days of NO MEAT, NO MILK, the constantly running nose slowed way down and I could actually lay down to try to sleep... the coughing slowed way down... I stopped all the triggers, cold turkey, after researching it that Tues right after the dr office appt.... took a couple days to "cycle out" of my system somewhat...

So, we'll see... and if these treatments with the sprays that are to "reset" my allergic reactions, with resetting the electromagnetic fields around the different frequencies that your cells function under... If they work, it should put these severe allergic reactions into remission... so my body does not fight its' self basically... and then I can start to reintroduce things into my diet...
I am not liking the restrictions... THAT SAID...... I am so thankful to have been able to find some answers and been able to eliminate the things most responsible for the severe reactions.... to be able to start to feel "human" again... so I am not going to complain...

Trying to find a decent DO but there just aren't any in "general practice" around here...

I will not even consider that "home test" for the colon screening... got it in the mail...

Also had stopped the antibiotics that the NP had me on for the "bronchial pneumonia".... this dr at the alpha-gal/chiropractic/acupuncture place, said that antibiotics were just continuing to upset my gut tract... which I do understand that the antibiotics do.... and probiotics are usually smart after any antibiotic treatment.... since I did not have any reason for the antibiotics because the diagnosis was again wrong.... so I stopped them...
I am not against antibiotics in the right scenario... but to still act like my feelings that this was all linked to the bulls eye rash/tick bite.... were not relevant... just sends me off the wall.....

So, enough..... trying different things from here... mostly NOT trying the things I normally would automatically eat as a go to....

Gotta go to DS house and let the dog out,,,, he is at a workman's comp evaluation all day today.... went earlier, he needs a break again... then I will go take the samples from the farm to UPS....

Went to snyder's, the black calf was on the jersey cow when I got there... was determined to stick with her... Grained her and she was just fine with the calf... Her jersey steer was messing around out with the black steer that has the bad leg.... so they are GOOD.....
I am calling her Maggie.... seems to fit her better than peaches...
I got lucky with her.... thought about Lucky.... but I like Maggie....
I like Maggie.

Cold start.... 17 on the recording thermometer... Not supposed to get any higher, actually calling for temps to drop. Some winds overnight, and supposed to get downright colder winds throughout the day... Wind chills to -20 ???? OUCH... Tonight and Tomorrow the same...maybe less wind tomorrow.. then moderating...

Didn't feel all that good yesterday... not really sick, just kinda queasy.

DS took silage up to the cattle in the silage cart at snyder's.... and put 3 tubs in with Maggie and calves... I hauled water to her early afternoon as there was no thawing... Will definitely be hauling water today and tomorrow at least. Then maybe some of the big water tubs will start to thaw... the sun on the black tubs really does get them to start thawing pretty good.
AND hopefully the warming temps will get this snow to be gone... still only open where DS plowed the paths out all over... The rest is just rock hard on top... I will be glad to have "ground" to walk on and not frozen ice crusted "snowcrete" . DS pulled the snow out of the front of the driveway the day after we got it a couple weeks ago.,... where I have been backing the truck in it is solid ice and I have to use 4wd just to back it up.... crazy...

DS has dr appts Monday; we will go to Rural King inbetween them and then the stockyards on the way home I expect... He said he had stopped last week and prices were way down.. mostly because of the cold, ice, cnow, difficulty getting in and out for many farmers... he wished he had bought some but with the cold, many are afraid that the animals will get sick...
DS lost a heifer he bought a couple weeks ago... she acted a little off feed, they ran her through the chute, gave a shot, kept her in the pen in the barn, to feed and watch... and 48 hrs later she was dead... he took her with M to the landfill the other day... that was like $1700 .... she was a nice heifer too... So you have no idea if or what they might do.,... the other 2 he got with her are just fine looking and acting...

Tuesday I am going to test... 250 cows... the owner has been wanting to go back on test for quite awhile... I explained to him about b eing so sick with the allergy and all.... there will be help in the barn... and it is not abig long parlor. They milk 8 on a side but the cows are milked from the back... a "parallel" parlor... and they will get the cow numbers for me since they are "butt end" to me with their heads away from me... I've tested him several years ago.... and it is a mid day test... they milk 3 x a day... so will go there and set up (he said they will help) at 10... milking at 11... last a couple hours.... then his computer work. Home like 4 or so... maybe??
Since it is the first test in seveal years there are bound to be glitches...

Wed is the monthly bred cow sale... DS wants to take the 2 cows in the barn eating silage that were checked open... get them out of there... and see what is available at the bred cow sale... then Thurs I have a farm scheduled... one that I cancelled when I was soo sick in Dec.... it's late, late... start milking at 5:30 ... 1 1/2 hrs north... not hard.. just a late night coming home... unfortunately have to set up meters there also...
And Thursday he is thinking to take some of the red steers he has, to a graded cattle sale at another stockyard... he wants to get them gone before they get too big... they weigh over 600 lbs now... I am not totally sold on the idea but they are his steers... There is a graded sale today, but the ice and cold is going to be a strike against it...and I agree on that... and that stockyard will not have another graded sale until the first Sat of March... Usually all the stockyards have one graded sale a month except for the spring sales...late Mar and April there usually is a graded sale every week... and in the fall with cattle coming off pasture usually Sept and Oct are graded sales every week... But Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb- early Mar are once a month... and then May-June-July-Aug are once a month... there are not many cattle being moved those months because many farmers and ranchers have all they want out to pastures, and the winter time they have what they want to be on feed.... There is some movement of cattle in places like out west where they put them on wheat pasture/grazing... and the feedlots do intake of cattle once a month only because the majority of cattle have been sold in the "busy months"...
It's cyclic...

So, he said he is going to see how prices did/do ... yesterday/today/Monday and then make a decision about the steers for Thursday.
The cull cow market stays much more steady, so these couple that were open have been eating and gaining some weight and condition... ought to sell pretty good.

So, I am going in to make some oatmeal I think... maybe that will help settle my stomach a bit...not really sick, just not "right"...
Not much wind out there now... Sun is coming up over the top of the hill across the road...

First pic at Snyder's ....2 days after the snow/ice ... Nearly 2 weeks later. Same basic spot just with truck closer ... See the drifting of the little bit of snow we got? And very little melted ... 3rd pic heifers at Snyder's eating at silage cart. 4th pic where the snow/ice melted off the "roads " DS cleared ... He cannot even think about scooping any of this rock hard stuff now. Maybe it will thaw with warmer temps forecast this coming week.
Maggie came in for her grain, calf went on her but not really hungry. Hauled water up there for her.

Got my FIRST pullet egg from the NH pullets I got in Columbus Ohio at the show. But I am going to buy some eggs to "get ahead", so I have some to eat etc..... as they start to lay now.

@Finnie did you get the buff geese (china's? )yet? I am so glad that you were able to at least find them close to you....the weather sure has not been very favorable to doing poultry things lately.
Going to groc store, and fill explorer with gas so it will be ready for Monday morning.
Boy, do I miss not being able to eat yogurt when I get to wanting something, don't know what, and always could fall back on yogurt to fill the void.

Hope your stomach settled and you're feeling better.

That's a bunch of snow, the moisture will sure be good for the ground. Hope it starts to warm up soon.
