@Mini Horses is exactly right... all mammals are out... and with the reactions I had with that horrible explosive instantaneous diarrhea, on top of the insistent back ache..... don't think I am wanting to experiment with anything else right now..
NO beef, pork, lamb, goat, venison, water buffalo, giraffe, elephant, hippopatamus, yak..... even seals and whales are mammals so not going to try them..... even fats from them like bacon grease.....COULD cause a problem... beef tallow and lanolin are listed as possible problems....

And the moderation in time has been said maybe 2-5 years for some... some never....

The milk and dairy products may or may not be as big a problem.... going to have to try them out slowly... I drink milk and eat yogurt, cottage cheese, all that... something dairy DAILY.....

This really really SUCKS everybody.... would not wish this on anyone.... still cannot believe it...

Chicken, turkey, any fowl... eggs.... seafood and fish....
Oat milk is pretty good, could be used for cereal and such.

@Mini Horses ... I made pudding and ate some. Problem is, I have been feeling so bad that don't know if I had any more reaction to it than not... no diarrhea... but the breathing etc... has been rough all around...

Did some more searching... have to get more info from DS's dr as I cannot find a reference to her on the internet... BUT... have been looking into other stuff on this... Our "local" TV station did 2 segments on alphagal and the very huge increase in people that have been diagnosed with it... symptoms that people have lived with over the years... and how severe it can be .... not just eating red meat... but exposure to things like leather, clothing... GELATIN in capsules, supplements, soap, stearic acid (used in lots of stuff like candle making and added to supplements... its in the mag supplement I have been taking) and lists all kinds of "fake milk".... almond, hemp, rice, soy... even in dairy alternatives that are vegan... can cause asthma symptoms and such..
This is serious allergic stuff... for some people that have severe allergies, this can be life or death...

There is a "newer" treatment... acupuncture called the SAAT procedure... I am looking into that, as it is supposed to put the allergic responses into remission... and people can go back to "living life"....

There is a good info sheet from a clinic in Mississippi... www.starkvilleacupuncture.com ; and a list of things that can cause the reactive symptoms... the list is LONG... even medications like Zyrtec is mammalian based...
for someone super sensitive it is really really serious...

I have a message into a clinic in south central Va... 2 hrs away... that took my name and phone # and the reviews from there are super super good... 3 week treatment of tiny acupuncture needles in the ear ...left in and covered with a surgical glue... to activate retraining the immune system to NOT see this alphagal molecule as something it needs to fight.... so no reaction. Does not cure it... but basically stops the reaction...
I did acupuncture a couple times for the pain in the knees years ago, didn't have much response.. but it never "hurt " either...

So all the feeling off that I have had for months... most likely can be traced back to that bulls eye rash, tick bite, and no one taking it serious...tired out, shortness of breath, no energy, stuff like that...

If anyone is interested they could hear the short segments on WDBJ7, TV station, out of Roanoke Va... May 8 2025... and a followup the following week.

Very upset to hear about all the horrible changes you might have to make to keep going without being so sick. Hopefully you can find something to ease these reactions. The way that first doctor did not take the tick bite seriously sounds like malpractice to me.

I am so sorry, but at least now you have a diagnosis. I hope the new doctor can give you some relief.

If nothing else, you could try homeopathy. The place I got the wormer from for the sheep also has human products. I am VERY impressed by the wormer. Sheep with bottle jaw, cleared right up. A few sheep that looked good, got bottle jaw from the worm die off. All are clear now. I get slaughtered on my lambs, starting about 2 months old and I'll be treating the lambs and ewes monthly. Great results from ONE diluted treatment. I used method 2, 1 ounce in a half gallon of water. They offer consultations, not free, but might be worth it if nothing else is working.

I got gobs of information with my order. I just read the human list again and at the bottom of one page was a note that said ask the office about the tick protocol. It might be worth it.

406-777-5875 and leave a very detailed message plus your phone number. They will call you back, it may take a few days. Answer any call with a 406 area code.

Modern medicine is a marvelous thing, but sometimes it falls short and there is nothing they can do.

Working on a clinic that is about 3 hrs SE of me, that does some of this acupuncture... rechanneling the energy flow that boosts the immune system, allows people to get back to normal... Had an hour call this morning... sending me paperwork via email... can get me in in about 2-3 weeks...
Have some other research going on... Have not been able to find the name the dr mentioned yesterday... sent DS a text to see if he could contact the dr to get more info on her... but this other is the one featured on WDBJ 7 TV back in May... also read alot about the clinic in Miss... same basic principles...

NIH which I have so-so faith in, has declared this SAAT method as the only one that is a viable way to combat the disease...

29 to start, hazy sun out there... up to about 45. Going to see if it is warm enough for me to do some grommets and get a panel up on the leghorn run so that they don't get so much snow in the run... also maybe more on the big pen to make it more comfortable for them...

Headed to snyder's to the nurse cow... got feed to take that is on the back of the truck already... will get the chicken feed unloaded and in the cans for them... get more mixed with the pellets from the bin so I don't have to go anywhere but to snyder's... for a few days...
Going to pick up milk also... so I have it... not sure if I will be able to drink it... got a chicken out of the freezer to stuff... bake...

Oh Jan, I know all about the whole "I feel so bad I don't know if I react to" thing. That was me and wheat products most of my life then I took them out and everything changed and I found out what normal was. You totally need to elimination diet for a week or two so you can find out where you stand and push it from there. I'm so sorry. You must hurt so bad right now.

I really hope you can pull off milk.

Friday night. Was a slow, but steady day... Short of breath (winded) so had to work in very slow increments.
Did chickens, waters were still thawed as it went to 29 then up to 40's hazy sun... It was very breezy so not really warm but not too bad...
Got the piece of vinyl that was on the top of the turkey pen over onto the bigger chicken run with the NH's and Langshans... so the pen is completely covered on top... 1/2 has the roof panels it was designed for and the rest is supposed to be open... couple of the 2x6's anchoring it so hope it stays... if it doesn't get too windy it ought to.
Then rolled out the piece of vinyl from the first order... it is a little thinner than the one on the NH pen... went and measured the leghorn pen and was able to make 2 panels for it... run part is 80" long and about 50 " high. The vinyl is 72" wide... so cut 2 panels 50x72... got another piece that might be 30x72 left..... they don't fit to the very end but that is fine because I did not cover the end with the door being there... Got out the grommet tool, measured and marked both pieces about 12" apart... and got the grommets in both pieces... top and 2 sides... then got them put up... I needed longer zip ties as the 8" would not go around the metal along the top... so I zipped them to the 1st wire down... and they will slide up so I can put in the longer zip ties to hold them up higher.. But they are up and really cuts the wind...
I went up to the nurse cow, and the one cow there that DS moved up there a couple weeks ago, that has not calved.... was right near the barn.... I got the cow in, fed , fed the calf, and left the gate open and managed to get the beef cow in... She has a real limp and we were thinking she might do better back at the barn, where she does not have to walk up and down the steep hill for water... then getting concerned about this ice coming... So it was very fortunate that she was there near the pen, no one else around... texted DS and said she was in and could stay there but he would need to bring me more sq bales... then he called back and said he would come get her since he had just gotten done moving some bulls around...I said well, I'm not there but she is in the lot with the jersey...
I had taken the flat bed big ford truck... unloaded the 6 bags of feed and got them in the cans, unloaded the 2 pallets I wanted up there... the old one we use to close the gap when loading out of the barn had fallen apart, and there is a hole in the fence I have 2 "falling apart partial pallets" blocking... so will use these 2 new ones... fed a bale of hay and left them... Then talked to DS, so I assume he came and got her..

Took several bags to the dumpster and went and got the milk from my farmer... took his reports that I had printed out this morning... talked for a little bit...his brother in law was just diagnosed with alpha gal in Dec... have had a terrible rash for nearly a year and not felt good... he was looking at this acupuncture treatment...but he didn't know if he had done it..... then went by Walmart... I have NEVER seen the shelves so empty as they were. I got the longer zip ties I wanted... and picked up 2 tarps in case I need them... all out of the bottled water I usually get.... I have some at home, got a few things I had forgotten the other day... TP that was a normal purchase but there wasn't much there...kleenex, and then just came on home...

I do plan to stay away from the dairy products @rachels.haven ... I had already told him I wanted the milk before my dr appt... we'll see after a week or so, if I can try something and the reaction I do/don't have... but I am totally off any red meat for now too...

Posted the above so I didn't lose it..

DS said in the phone conversation earlier, that the guy came and got the bull that we had tested.... so he is sold and gone...YAY...
Then he forgot he had promised a friend that he could use a bull to breed his couple cows... like 4 or something... he told me on the way home yesterday.... so we talked about who/what because there are 2 bulls at each of the 2 pastures with the cows getting bred, because he could not get the first bull out when he took the 2nd bull up to switch... so all of a sudden we are "short" on bulls... so we decided that he could take him Roscoe, who is in with the open young cows... and he would take the new bull out of the calving field when he put him when we came back from the sale, and put him in with the 8 open cows... because of #9 being sold and he was coming to get him... So today he played musical chairs with the 3 bulls... but got it all done... delivered Roscoe to the friend, got #9 loaded and sold on the guy's trailer, and the new bull #7 QH moved over in with the 8 open cows... Not taking a just bought bull to someone else's place...

He also said he moved equipment around, got trucks and tractors in barns/sheds... undercover.... he will do some major feeding tomorrow, extra rolls of hay and silage to everyone .... he was wanting to get the barn cleaned out and fresh wood chips put in because it would freeze the manure... and I think he was working on that... I had offered to help, but I think GF was up there helping him and I had enough to do... especially after being gone all day yesterday... when it was so nice out.... and I didn't feel like I had enough energy to try to do both.

So that is the day... I was glad to get the vinyl done... not too cold to do the grommets mid day since I didn't have to be out there for a long time... yesterday would have been better, but OH WELL.....

Got 2 feed bags of papers to burn tomorrow... like to get them done before they get wet and won't burn... have to see what the wind is like...

Also got the chicken feed unloaded out of the explorer and in the cans and filled the feeders again... I will top them off tomorrow when I take them water in the morning....

Internet keeps messing up, so I am getting off...
