@SageHill ... yes, the diet change, with as little as I fully have done, has made a world of difference... I cannot believe how the runny nose, congestion, coughing, pressure on breathing has improved in just 4-5 days... NOPE, not "cured... but it has been easier than I thought at first.. because i stop to think for just a minute... will this cause me to cough constantly... which hurts the chest after a bit... it is so nice to be able to breathe better when I am not "taxing" my lungs... although being outside and doing harder physical stuff for the cow... hauling water to pour in her tubs, even carrying the 5 gal bucket with grain is harder than it ever was in my life...but getting a tiny bit better every time...

I still FUME at how the last 3 months were a totally unnecessary struggle and painful time... if they had only had the decency to make one F*$%#@G phone call to tell me I had tested positive for the Alpha Gal... at least I could have researched it and saved the downhill slide to exhaustion, and bronchial pneumonia and congestion... and feeling so sick... when I was technically NOT SICK.... just very SEVERE allergic reactions.... ESPECIALLY since I had been preaching about the symptoms, starting after the bulls eye rash...

It would have been different if I had "NO CLUE" .... but I had a serious concern... a place to start....

Well, can't change the past... Go forward from here...

Find a new PCP... get this SAAT treatment/acupuncture... reset the immune system response... start to try to get back some semblance of strength and energy...

GO FORWARD from here...

I'm so sorry they didn't call you. I think you should report it to whoever is in charge. At the very least it might help them to change their protocols and make them call people, that could help someone else. Everything is going through email and signing into their systems now. Not every patient does that yet and they need to make sure people are informed. Something to ask about with your next pcp, if they do things electronically, at least you will know and they can help you get setup with it. I get email notification and I'm also signed up to get text messages about appointments and that test results are in.

Sunday night.. it has been a good day overall.
7 degrees to start, Sunny out all day... Very little breeze all day... It got up around 35-36 and the sun on the recording thing said 50 late this afternoon...
There was some melting some places... there was actually water dripping off the roof at snyder's when I went up with water and to feed the jersey... Peaches does not fit her even though her attitude is "peachy"... I am thinking on a better "more fitting name" for her...
Anyway... Before I went up, the ice in the cold water line broke through and I have cold water at the tub. So a nice warm, not scalding, shower is in store for tonight... YAY:bow:bow:celebrate:celebrate:weee:weee:weee:clap:clap:jumpy:jumpy:bunny:bunny:highfive::highfive::yesss::yesss::thumbsup:thumbsup

Got the feed from the can to the leghorns' pen... not attempting the bulk feed bin for a few days... I'm not totally stupid... Watered both pens...
Feel so much more like a person today... I still CANNOT BELIEVE how the symptoms have "disappeared " with my body not fighting off the allergy reactions.... Even DS said it is pretty remarkable how much better I look and sound.
When I went to snyder's, DS had been in and got the silage cart earlier... he came back with a full one and the partial tubs for the nurse cow... they are heavy so fills them 1/2-2/3 full ... carried them in for her... her and the black calf came out in the sun and were eating. She does real good with him... not at all pushy... Even Betsy could be a witch with other cattle in there... This cow is just really really good. talked to him a few minutes...

Then I came on home... put sample bottles in the car to take tomorrow, to the owner sampler herd where I was going to drop them off on Friday... when I was supposed to go to the seminar and didn't because I had had a rough night Thursday night... It will be a bit out of my way but I want him to be able to do his test when he can... then have another farmer here that is a class A... A*****... he HAS TO TEST... is creating a real stink... and I told him he could do an owner sampler test if he wanted... been a real issue after I sent that group text... he's the one that is the closest... anyway... I will take him meters on Wed for him to do his owner sampler test... drop bottles off... then will have to go back on Thursday to do his computer stuff and come home...
I simply sent him a text after this last little encounter he had with DS... and said that i would be dropping off the meters and that I would be doing his test... that I had talked with the tester north of me that said she could do any of my owner sampler farms if needed... and he went and contacted because he HAS TO TEST.... yet he told DS that he didn't "have to test"... so WHAT ?????? he's just an arrogant .*******
I told the other tester some of the history with him... she said to just let her know... But the other part time girl has cut back more and so this tester now has over 40 herds.... probably half are owner sampler farms... but REALLY ??????

So, I went by the farm after leaving snyder's,,,, GF truck was there so I came on home... figured DS had help with the cow and the hip lift her up deal...
I was out in the driveway, and got the explorer out of the icy snow; took a couple tries to rock back and forth to get it over the humps around the tires... there is NO digging them out... and I started and ran the red forester and made sure it was "free" of the snow... I had gotten it unstuck on Monday before it froze sooo solid... and before DS had cleaned out the front of the driveway to the road... DS has a dr appt in Roanoke tomorrow that I would ordinarily be going to but it is not any type of "procedures"... and he said he could manage it ... so I could go to this appt that the clinic can give me for the alpha gal acupuncture... So he will take the explorer, and I will take the red car... it has a good heater too... and I will get the green car unstuck in the next day or 2.... to take the meters to that farm to set up...
I am just ready to take off my boots, and he texts me... can I come help with M and the lifting her up...?? So I went.. come to find out GF went home because the CO2 sensor alarm was going off and even though her daughter went up to the aunt's house next door after they changed the batteries... she HAD to go home to see what the problem was... No one in the house.... Like DS said, they have had the house closed up tight with the extreme cold... there is no air exchange with the propane heater and all... so opening up the doors and allowing an exchange of some air would most likely take care of it... the aunt's husband worked with the propane division of the co-op so he ought to know something ... but GF had to go home...
So I went back to the farm... helped him get the cow up... she stood and he let the tension off the bucket so she was standing on her own... YES:yesss::yesss::yesss::fl:fl Really good sign... so we finally took the hip lift and the chain off so she was totally standing on her own... then we are worrying ... how are we going to get her to lay down so she does not try to walk off on the "snowcrete" and fall... well, I said I would stay with her and the calf was nursing her... and he went to feed some more to the other pens at the farm... then she finally just "sank down" and laid there on the hay... Didn't fall, just sorta went whoosh and went down pretty easy... :highfive::bow:weee WONDERFUL... She is weak from not using the muscles... but it was warmer today and that helped alot I think... the fact that she stood for a bit on her own... I was ready to block her from going walking at all.... is great... Calf sucked her all out... she is not making much milk at all... he will have to supplement a bottle a day for a bit... but it is giving her the incentive to "want" to live... The calf would do better with the nurse cow, but the cow will do better with having "her baby"... so she gets to keep her...
Get through the next few days and the snowcrete melts... then maybe she will want to walk around too... we will see.
Then I watched a few gates so he could get in with the skid loader and feed some more silage... he still had to go check a waterer... and feed hay one more place.. but told me to go home as he could do that himself.

It is cold out again... after the sun goes down the temps drop like a rock.... it is already down to 16 here at the house... It is supposed to be way down again tonight. The winds did not kick up here today like they were predicting so not as bitter as I thought it would be ... SO GLAD.... Tomorrow supposed to be cold then sun and a little warmer in the afternoon... Tuesday even a bit warmer... Day time temps supposed to go above freezing all week... nights in the teens and low 20's,,,,

So overall a pretty good day. That cow standing on her own was the best news... we don't have much faith in using the hip lift... have only had a very few that actually made it once they go down... most don't "try" BUT... she is onery and wants to...gotta give her that. She still takes her head if you get too close and tries to slam you... so that is good in this case...

Have been having a hard time going to sleep because I am not doing the physical work to tire my body out... used to be I was physically tired and would go right off to sleep... Not lately... then I was so worn out exhausted, but could not lay down to sleep... couldn't breathe, couldn't stop coughing... Need to get my body tired enough to want to relax and go to sleep like it used to...

I look forward to your reports every day and rejoice every time you say you are improving! 💞

Yay for the cow, I hope she also continues to get stronger!

Great about the cow and bath water line!

Are you on steroids? They can interfere with sleep.
Took the last prednisone 2 days ago... I missed a couple with the horrible weather/chores... maybe that is part of the reason...
A good hot shower tonight ought to help the "go to sleep"....RELAX.....

Tuesday morning... it was ONLY down to 27 overnight... right at 31 now... cloudy... supposed to get some rain/snow showers but temps are forecast to hit upper 30's...
Going to be like skating out there... NOT GOOD.....
We have a good 4-6 inch layer of solidly frozen concrete style snow.... literally cannot put your boot through it... slicker than you know what on top...

Well, yesterday went okay... Took a long trip to this new wellness place, that specializes in the SAAT treatment for Alpha Gal...
Liked them... although the DO is soooo smart that she kinda could talk over your head. That said... UNFORTUNATELY..... I could not do the SAAT treatment...
I have an allergic response to the glues they use for surgical procedures... Does anyone remember that I had the horrible reaction to the tape/glue that they used for the "zip together" on the knee replacements... that I nearly went crazy with the pain for the irritation on the skin... and found that Burt's Bees liquid solution, that calmed the skin???? Well, those type of "surgical glues" are what they use on these infinitesimal needles that they put in the ear... to keep them in place... SO NO DEAL..... instead, there are many things that I did wind up testing positive for allergy wise... and there are sprays, that are supposed to "prime" your immune system to be able to deaden the response... so to speak... in other words, tiny amounts of exposure will retrain your body to NOT over react to the stimuli from these allergens...
This is all based on the fact that there is energy in your body, that will not occupy the same space as the problem, and you have to train your immune response to "push out" the offending energy so you have a positive energy that occupy's that space...
If anyone has any knowledge of the "Rife" system... the electromagnetic frequencies that are supposed to be inherent in every cell, and every type operates at a different frequency... so you can target problems because it will not affect surrounding cells.... This is NOT recognized by current conventional medicine... another of the "voodoo" things... yet mid eastern cultures believe in it and practice it.. INCLUDING things like acupuncture and acupressure....
ANYWAY... I was introduced to Rife frequencies principles over 25 years ago and did not put alot of credence into it... but was aware of the ideas...

So where this is going, is that I had several allergic responses to things...
First... Alpha Gal... BUT.... that goes hand in hand with many also having an allergic response to Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.... yep.. got that allergic response... several other things... milk/dairy products.... also including mold.... and another mast allergic response....
SO, I could not do the SAAT treatment of acupuncture needles because of the allergy to the "glue"... we are going a different route... LONGER way around... but it might do the same thing... or at worst, alleviate the other allergies we are targeting, so that I can also do the acupuncture thing in the ear and use the glue without reacting to it...
I am doing a series of sprays... think little atomizer mists... under the tongue 3 x a day... for the next 8 weeks... YEP.... PITA but these are the way to put tiny amounts into the body, to basically desensitize the reaction of the body and to "push out" the frequency that these electromagnetic waves work on in the particular cells... so kill the reaction of the cell to the allergen... I have read about it before, heard about it... so not like it is some totally foreign concept to me...

Understand right now... that this is NOT accepted by conventional medicine... this is not supported by the medical community.... considered to be unsubstantiated and even malpractice.... at worst... silly waste of time and money at best with no known benefits... YET.... it is accepted by the NIH that this SAAT treatment is VALID for treatment of lessening the symptoms of Alpha gal..... (Soliman Aricular Acupunture Treatment).... Putting the allergic response to Alpha Gal into REMISSION.....

In other words... getting your body back into a balanced rhythm... so it is not fighting its self... and conventional medicine using a "pill" to cover up the symptoms... and treat just that, not the underlying cause...

This is also supposed to work for people with all sorts of other allergies... INCLUDING gluten and wheat based problems... because it targets the individual problems...

If at the end of 8 weeks... I show substantial responses to alleviating the allergic responses in my body... if the allergic reaction to alpha gal still exists.,...and that is a possibility... even if lessened some... as long as I don't have the allergic reaction to the glue.... I can go on and do the SAAT treatment then...
AND if I am lucky.. this might alleviate that in the process and I won't need to do that...

You don't CURE the allergy to this... but you put it into remission so you can function and not have the constant huge reaction when you eat some red meat of some kind... Through the electromagnetic impulses that go through your body.... it tells your body that the particular allergen is NOT attacking you, and lets you NOT react to it in the system...

So for the next 8 weeks, I am going to have to refrain from eating red meat... or ingesting any dairy products directly... So far it does not seem to trigger a huge response with some dairy in things like bread... like a pbj sandwich on bread... but I am NOT going to push my luck.....

THIS REALLY STINKS.... but being able to breathe has it's benefits... Believe me.... Not having that sick nauseous feeling or the episodes of diarrhea that you have no control over, or the congestion that makes you feel like you are suffocating or drowning because you cannot get your throat clear to breathe.... is a BIG PLUS for me right now...

Funny thing is, during the conversation of eating/drinking... and my saying that no milk has been a real big change as that was my go to often... she asked if I drank soda... and I said very seldom... used to but pretty much stopped... 1 or 2 cans a month maybe... she said that to switch it up from juices and water... tea and coffee is also allowed... that an occasional soda to break the monotony is not all bad... BUT.... to get the kind made with PURE CANE SUGAR... not the artificial sweeteners... pure cane sugar is processed to be "pure" and will not cause the same responses as these artificial sweeteners... and it will curb the craving that artificial sweeteners tend to create...

This might also help to reset my body in regard to being able to lose some weight... as it stops "hoarding fat" and rebalances my metabolism... not a cure all but some people find that as a small side benefit sometimes...

It is creating a "WELLNESS" in your body... not treating a symptom that the underlying CAUSE does not get addressed.

Gotta go and get outside and get started on things here... Sun is mostly out,,, it is in the low 40's.... WARMING.... Hope it melts alot of this icy "concrete" pretty fast...

Praying the treatment works for you Jan! :hugs
