What type of trough would you guys recommend for a ram, He is extremely rough with everything I put in there. The flat bowl type buckets work, but the chickens go in and eat all his grain. That grain is to expensive to be eaten by them. The fence feeder works but he head butts it till it falls off. Any recommendations? Also what do you put your minerals and baking soda in? They itch on everything I hang up and rip it off the wall.

I used to hang a 3 gal. jug(got from a restaurant....used to hold vegetable oil) from a tree or fence post, with a hole cut out of the side, for mineral feeding~kept it dry from the rain, easy to refill. They can access it, but butting it and trying to rub on it just makes it swing.

That model just may well work for a feeder too, as the chickens can't access it.
