Okay, so my friend just bought two pygoras, a doe and a wether. The doe is four months old and cuter than pie. The lady said that she needed to be bred before she was a month old, or she wouldn't be eligible for show. Everything I've seen suggests that fiber people wait until year two or three to breed-at least! I thought breeding at year one was a dairy thing.
Anybody got answers?

I don't have angora goats myself but I can't believe that a little pygora goat should be bred any earlier than 18 months old. I don't understand why you would have them bred for show. The stress of being at a show could cause her to abort.
