Hi All! So this is our first time kidding and I’m extremely nervous! First we didn’t know she was bred but I noticed she was getting larger and
developing udders. So we sent pics to the owner of where we purchased her and he said about 3 weeks to go. 😳. My question is, do all does udders fill up with milk right before birth? I see photos of large udders and they say this is a sign of delivery coming soon. I know they say the ligaments disappearing are a sign as well.
She is young...just turning a year. I am praying everything goes ok. I am preparing my first kidding kit and getting a vet lined up as well. Thanks for you help!

The udder filling can be all over the place..

So, not a good way to pin point the kidding.

Ligaments are a pretty good sign. Do you know how to feel for them?
