Finally got my rescue llamas shorn today.........but sadly discovered lice at the same time. I had been hoping to use some of their fleece to try and do some felting projects. Should I just toss it? Or is it usable after the lice and then the nits die?

bluck.......I feel so itchy now :(

did you end up keeping it? I would think it would be fine so long as it was only lice and you wait well past the time they could possibly survive? Perhaps leave it stored in a shed to freeze overwinter just to be sure :)

Thanks for the replies. I did save it, and tried to use some after a couple months just to see........but the lice eggs (nits?) are so sticky that they don't wash off, so anything I would try to make would still have all the eggs in it and even though they aren't viable, it just didn't look good.
