I have been free ranging my FG for about the past 2 weeks in about a .5 acre area. He is about 5 months old. I got him when he was 4 month and he weighed 10lbs. I just weighed him and hes now 9lbs (almost 10).
He has to weigh 16 in order for me to reg. him. Why isnt he gaining the weight? I give him a scoop of feed a day (which he does not fully eat) and he has all the fresh grass he can eat..

Is it because he would be a little more athletic than a caged rabbit?

While he's probably burning more calories, most of his weight should be from his body size and muscle mass, not fat. He may need a different kind of feed with a different protein level, if he has contact with the ground a regular deworming schedule would be a good idea, too.

Also keep in mind that it can take a Flemish 8-12 months to reach their adult weight, and they actually can't be registered until they are 8 months old.
