Hello! What is the best flooring for a dirt barn floor that sometimes floods?

It's so muddy and if it's a pretty good storm, there's a big puddle.

We have mini donkeys :)

I knew some folks who had a problem with their barn flooding after a neighbor brought in a lot of dirt. They dug out their entire barn and added gravel - topped the gravel with sand - and topped the sand with dirt. It worked great but it was hard, hard work and expensive to boot. I'd bring in more dirt if I could - maybe install french drains and get stall mats.

Ditch ran at an angle to drain the water off, with the dirt piled on the side of the ditch to form a berm. The ditch plus the berm might fix the problem.

We used to get water in the barn..

We shelled out the money to get the dirt around the barn sculpted, so water would drain away.

Yes, it was money..... but it worked perfectly.

We only had to do it that once, the work lasted, and has been great.
