My next door and a friend both have huge fig trees, don't use them. I pick next door, friend picks hers for me 😊 I give her eggs all yr. I started 3 plants, goats ate them. It only takes one getting loose & finding them 😞. 3 apple trees, also. I gave up.

I've got 3 figs. Diana --yum, a God only knows what - was mismarked and supposed to be a Black Mission but it aint and not tasty either, and a Tiger - yum. I've got some Black Mission started from cuttings from a friend's tree. Should see fruit on those in a year or two.

I reattached one of the carabiners to the coop door with a new section of wire, as the old wire broke. I got two years out of it, good enough.

And I need to pick up a turnbuckle for the second coop door, will try to do that tomorrow.
SOOOO PRETTY!!!!!

Picked up the turnbuckle at the hardware store, and when I got home I decided to install it immediately. I was in the shade, using my cordless drill, and pouring sweat.

Oh, that's why. :ep

Second sowing of squash is up.

I pulled some weeds from the day lily beds. Too humid to do much else.

I stopped at Aldi's earlier today to buy milk for making bread, bought 2 half gallons marked down to 50 cents! Bread doesn't care if the milk is turning. I'm going to try making bread tomorrow afternoon.

Stopped at a new-to-me thrift store. Bought two books for my granddaughters and an unused roll of nice shelf paper. I almost bought a sewing table/cabinet (no machine) for $25. I am planning to set up a sewing machine I bought a few months ago. I've never had my own machine, was going to give it a try. I might go back to the thrift store tomorrow to see if the cabinet still there.
