The only hens laying right now are the OEGB pullets. We're having a Christmas fellowship tonight at church, and I decided to try making deviled eggs from the teensy pullet eggs!

I needed something in the middle, so I pulled a jar of pickled eggs (from my bantams) out of the refrigerator, and put them on a bed of lettuce from my garden!
Look how tiny! 💞

So, all the meterologists have been predicting a warmer than usual winter here in NC.

Except the Old Farmer's Almanac...

We had snow flurries a couple nights ago, and last week. That's very, very unusual.

Forecast for tomorrow:

Think the OFA is right, as usual?

I mostly liked to make deviled eggs out of bantam eggs... just a pop in the mouth.. no taking a bite and getting the yolk part all over your fingers... pain to make them being so small...
Any deviled egg tastes good...!!!
They were a little harder to peel without damaging the whites but I got enough for the tray.

And one of the church members loved the pickled eggs so much, he took the few leftovers home.

Can't find any of their last year, 2026, of The Farmers Almanac... I always used the Old Farmer's Almanac when I was up north and continued down here... but The Farmers Almanac, seemed to be more accurate for down here so would get both... Hate that they are discontinuing... Would like to find one to have... TSC always had both but none this year... got the Old Farmers Almanac already...

The OFA is also available as a digital edition, if anyone wants to save a little $.
