When I was a child in 4-H I showed a broken brown and white Mini Rex. I loved him to death. Although looking over the links on posts throughout this thread I'm realizing just how "off" my little Bloomer was. Chances are he wasn't Mini at all. Now, to the point.

I'd like to get into showing rabbits, specifically the Mini Rex. I've been to the breed website but am having a really hard time navigating the website to find local clubs/shows in the Washington/Oregon & maybe Idaho area. I'm in the process of looking at different breeders websites but not ready to contact them in regards to purchasing rabbits just yet. I feel I need to go to a couple shows and learn some more before I can commit to purchasing my first show rabbit.

Other than the NMRRC, are there any other websites that I should add to my bookmarks in regards to showing rabbits & Mini Rexs? What are some things you can suggest for me to look into? This is a journey I'm pretty much going in alone so any help is very much appreciated.

Thank you.

Before you buy rabbits, you'll need the ARBA Standard of Perfection. Lucky you it was published this year and will be good for 10 years. :) I bought mine last year and have to re-buy. Meh. :/

Study it carefully for your breed so that you don't get screwed over on your first rabbit purchases.

Thank you. I didn't know there was a group that had a standard. I will look it up now.
