Farm life has been rough. Storm was 2 weeks ago. I fell in the ice and broke my wrist. I'm hiring someone to help me with the animals. Water needs to be sledgehammered every day because it's barely getting above freezing. I brought a hose in the house to keep one ice free. My car is at the end of the driveway by the road because it takes 4 wheel drive to get up my driveway. I have been riding the tractor to and from the car. I have never seen it this miserable for so long in Virginia. Supposed to get better next week. I'm at the end of my rope. :th

I keep saying the same -- this is an extended weather extreme for Virginians. It just won't let go!!!

There's been storms with more snow. There's been Xtra cold spells. But not back to back, won't go away stuff. 😖 It's hard to handle. You've gotten injured and that sure doesn't help!! Probably you have a well -- me too. I've been fortunate to not have a power outage, so far.

Takes a lot of extra time for chores and they consume more feed. Fortunately I don't have the driveway issue...but, my DD lives at rear of farm & that long, sloping driveway can be tricky.

I VOTE FOR WINTER TO BE OVER!! :old

I feel so bad for you. I've had to leave my car at church and ride the Kawasaki mule back and forth, but it wasn't freezing and I didn't have a broken wrist. I hope winter goes away SOON and you heal up. As a hot weather Texan, I understand how bad ice and snow is for a place that normally has mild winter. :(
