Loving the herd life
We got all the goats shown yesterday and I am home for a few minutes to check in here at home for a few to do chores, wanted to post the results.
We are SOOO excited, and I hope I remember all this right.
Ricci Champion Showmanship Intermediate,
Reserve Champion Market Goat Medium weight division.
Grand Champion 3 year old doe, (Yonna, the fullblood we bought this March)
Grand Champion Intermediate Doe (Anabelle, a fullblood doeling born in January by Remington)
Kendra Grand Champion Overall Doe with Amber, one of our original doe purchases.
Breeding Herd took Grand Champion, (Spicey, Cozy and Amber)
Grand Champion Senior Doeling. (Cocoa, our december doeling out of Spicey and by Sundance)
William took Grand Champion Market Goat medium weight division, (out of Amber, the Grand Champion Overall doe)
Champion 2010 doe, Sammy
Reserve Champion Showmanship
Dam and Doe, Champion
Amber is the mama of William's Grand Champion market goat, Ginger is the mother of Ricci's reserve Champion market goat. I know they had 11 ribbons total, all blues and Grands, so I am sure I have missed something.
I am just so pumped! We raised these does from babies, except for Yonna and cozy, and the kids picked them out. Bred them last summer and they showed their kids in market and did so well.
Well, fair is over this week, auction is Saturday so life will get back to normal. Have already put the does in with Remington the first of July and hope they were all bred before we took them to fair this week. They will only be gone 5 days and no signs of anyone coming in the last couple of days. As much fun as fair is, will be glad to have a day to clean the house and get somewhat back to normal!
