Goat kids with lice

Hello , I’m posting a new thread to see what works for everyone when they encounter lice. My girls are 3 months old and I noticed a bunch of rice looking bugs. So I dusted the girls down with python dust and there shed/sleeping area. My question is , is it normal for them to start itching like crazy after I put the dust on them? Is this a sign it’s working? And should I reapply weekly for 3 weeks?

I can't answer your question about the dust but I use Cylence pour on. Works great but I am also not sure about an age limitation, mine are all adults.
