I'll be working somewhere in the yard, and hear what I think is my wife calling, but no it's just a goat! They sound like people sometimes, right guys?

Loving the herd life
We have one that sounds like a cow bawling. Since our neighbors have cattle, it's a little weird to hear it that close, but we figured out it's just Ruby. The rest are Nubians and "whiny".

We have 3 and each one has a distinctly different voice. The 11yr old doe has a bass voice and ya can barely hear her unless ya are close to her. One of the Boys is fairly loud and one has a much softer call, but he does the grunting of a buck, but the other doesn't. They all 3 will let ya know if the pellets are late.....and to beg for me to stop the rain.....

One of my bucks makes a loud "HO" which sounds just like the DH trying to get my attention. Can't number the times I've jerked my head up and looked around to see what the man wanted to find no man... just a buck with a big grin on his face.
