Hello! One of my Nubian whethers has been acting funny all day. This morning I found his face covered in cud but otherwise he was acting normal. Flash forward to lunch time where I’m mucking out the shelter they have and see him collapse on the ground foaming at the mouth. I quickly rush to find someone to help and to call the vet. I found one of my coworkers who works with the beef herd on this farm but has owned goats before. We give the whether 30cc nutridrench and some probios. We wanted to also give him some charcoal just in case he found something in the field but we couldn’t find any in our med closet. We didn’t end up calling the vet because he ended up bouncing back quickly after the nutridrench and probios. Just this evening I was going around checking on everyone and saw that he had a huge pile of cud in front of him. I watched him for a bit and noticed every time he spit up his cud to chew, a bit of it was spat out into the pile. It’s very liquidy cud which is odd. Does anyone have any advice? I might call our vet tomorrow if he’s still acting weird.

At a complete guess... maybe it was bloat... and the foam and cud was/is him burping up the extra from his rumen.

The probios probably helped whatever was causing the issue to get better digested.

I would take a couple nice slow walks through everywhere that he has been, and try to figure out what he got into.
