So we went to the North Florida Fair and the National Peanut Festival.
The children and goats did great.
In the youth show at NFF All our Nigerians got first in class and we took Champion in Jr and Sr does with One Fine Acre Aravis as a Senior and FHF Queen Jadis (Queen x One fine Acre Lord Drinian) in Jrs. Our FHF Whisper (out of FHF Secret) got first in her class and Here Be Goats Cinder Ash took first and Grand Champion Jr Lamancha. (there were 9 goats in youth show- so no Jr leg) FHF Secret (grade Lamancha) took 1st too. The one Sannen took First and Best Jr Doe in show and hopefully earned her Jr Leg. Danielle had three goats in the line up for Best Jr Doe in Show. The judge said it was between the Saanen and the Lamancha and she had to stop herself from screaming before she announced it since they were both hers! (She was holding the LM since she's a brat and the Saanen is easier to show.)
They all did very well in the open show too with Aravis taking 1st in class again, Vicey the Saanen taking Champion Jr Saanen among others.
Then we went to the Peanut Festival. FHF Secret took Reserve grade behind a finished champion. That really makes me mad since she would have gotten a leg if the 8 yr old CH would have just shown in Champion Challenge like she should have. It even sanctioned. The judge at this show loved Morning Glory and she got second in a huge class of Nigerians. But, her judging was hard for me to understand. Not necessarily bad, but hard to figure out the consistency. The Jr Champion was a 2.5 month old Lamancha- which is odd in itself- but she is out of our Lamancha buck, so yea anyway I guess. LOL.
Ill add photos as a comment.
