Hey guys,

Yesterday morning I made ground goat meat chili. I made chili the normal way but I added some chopped pobalano peppers and a chopped red bell pepper.

Also, 2 teasp, of Hersheys cocoa and l/2 t. cinnamon.

BUT THE UNUSUAL INGREDIENT WAS: A can of pumpkin. Yep, a can of Libby's pumpkin. It made it very thick and much richer.

You can't really taste the pumpkin but it was a nice change.

I used Taco seasoning instead of chili seasoning.

My husband does not like things really spicy.

I browned the meat the night before, then put the Taco seasoning in and let it sit overnight before I put the chili together the next morning.

It was really good.

That sounds really good. I am writing this down for the next time I do a chili dinner (I don't have goat meat yet but will swap in some beef or pork for now).

I just may have to try that...I have a non-spicy husband as well.

We love our chili best with lamb...even people who might be squeamish do agree that it is way better than beef for chili, once they've tasted it.

That sounds great! My neighborhood has an annual chili party every February, and I already said I wanted to make goat chili! Now I'll try adding the pumpkin, too, that sounds fantastic! :drool Thanks for sharing!
