I've searched and searched, but I can only find info on growing loofah or feeding goats, not both... what I need to know is, is feeding immature loofah gourds to goats safe?? I also make soap, so trying to grow loofah plants only seemed like a natural fit for me. I was successful in growing my loofah plants, and I got many mature gourds that I can process and use. Unfortunately, an unexpected freeze hit our area and my vines were killed before many of my growing gourds matured enough to use. I know they are edible for people, taste like a cross between a cucumber and zucchini. But before I cut the immature fruits and throw them to the goats, I really want to know it's safe. I have tried, every way I know how to, searched the web for info, but I cannot find a single thing about whether or not it's safe to feed - not even close! Any help would be sincerely appreciated!! Thanks!
